Hearing Aid Repairs
As with all technology, hearing aids sometimes malfunction. If you believe one or both of your hearing aids are not working properly, call our office immediately so we are able to assess the issue and correct it accordingly. We are often able to repair hearing aids in our office; if not, we will send it to the manufacturer for repair.
Diagnostic Hearing Evaluation
Diagnostic hearing evaluations measure patient responses to auditory stimuli in order to determine frequency-specific sensitivity. This type of testing also uses spoken words to analyze speech understanding in ideal conditions. We perform diagnostic hearing evaluations in a sound booth within a noise-controlled environment. Testing is simple, fast, and pain-free. The results of your test will help us further understand and resolve your specific hearing needs.
We are proud to offer cerumen (wax) removal services to our patients. Hearing aid users often develop issues due to excessive cerumen build-up in the ear canal. In order to experience the best results with your hearing aid, the ear canal needs to be clean and clear. Please call ahead and make an appointment for this service.
Hearing Aid Evaluation
If your diagnostic testing results reveal the need for an amplification device, we will perform a hearing aid evaluation in order to determine which type of device is best suited for your particular needs. There are numerous hearing aid types and manufacturers; it is our pleasure to make sure you have the most up-to-date and unbiased information to make this important decision.

Tympanometry specifically tests the middle-ear and Eustachian tube. The results will inform us whether or not the ear drum is intact, the middle ear pressure is within normal limits, and the eustachian tube is functioning properly. This test is also able to detect if there is fluid in the middle ear.
If you believe you are experiencing changes in your hearing, we recommend a hearing exam. The results of your hearing test will allow us to determine the extent of your hearing issues so we are able to assist you in the best way possible.
